Why is it we hardly find time to go out and shop? Why do people prefer to stay at home during the weekend rather than go out with their family members and friends? Why do we avoid getting too many expenses from our outdoor activities?
There are several reasons which account for these things. First, the rigors of work and the time needed to snatch away to go out and shop necessarily prevents one to drive and visit malls or supermarkets. I noticed a friend of mine who used to tag his wife at Waitrose to buy mostly fruits for their little children. I knew this more than any because we always see each other at Waitrose buying apples, oranges, banana, mangoes and the like and at Virgin Wines online for some bottles of red and white wine. But when he was promoted to a higher executive position, his wife replaced him alone for the shopping tasks. But lately, the wife no longer visits the shops. Asked why, he said that the time they spend at the malls or supermarket has been relegated at home. They no longer have to go out and shop and whenever they decide to go out, it seldom happens as when it is holiday or non-working day. Essentially, the reason being is they shop using the facilities of the internet such as Superdrug online where they purchase most of their items. At other times, they would shop for cost-effective items at Boots online. Second, using online shopping gives them hassle free trip to online supermarket chains. The reason is obvious—less stress and more relaxation, literally by just a click of the mouse, you’ve got your items you purchased.
